■ Both sales and operating profit more than doubled year-on-year
■ Successful construction of Jeonnam Offshore Wind Farm and incorporation of LS Buildwin reflected in performance
■ Company has secured additional orders for offshore wind power projects worth five times annual revenue
LS Marine Solution, Korea's leading submarine cable construction company, achieved its highest-ever performance in the first half of 2025, further solidifying its position in the submarine infrastructure market.
LS Marine Solution announced on the 22nd that it had recorded sales of KRW 111.5 billion, operating profit of KRW 6.4 billion, and net profit of KRW 4.1 billion on a consolidated basis in the first half of 2025.
The company achieved its best performance ever in the first half of the year, with sales increasing by approximately 114% (from 52 billion won), operating profit by approximately 107%, and net profit by approximately 8% compared to the same period last year.
The successful construction of Jeonnam Offshore Wind Farm 1 (96 MW) and the performance of LS Buildwin, which was incorporated at the end of 2024, are the main factors behind the strong performance.
This high-performance momentum is expected to continue for the time being, with major projects scheduled for the second half of the year, including a submarine cable laying project for an offshore wind farm of the Taiwan Electric Power Corporation and the installation of underwater defense acoustic sensors.
The company's contract size is also rapidly expanding. LS Marine Solution currently has a backlog of orders worth approximately KRW 650 billion, including a recent contract to construct submarine cables for offshore wind power in Myanmar. This amount is approximately five times its annual sales in 2024 (KRW 130.3 billion), and has been evaluated as the basis for driving mid- to long-term performance growth.
Additionally, the company has been designated as the preferred bidder for several large-scale offshore wind power projects, including in Taean, Haesong, and Shinan-Ui, and is expected to sign large-scale contracts in the future. According to industry estimates, LS Marine Solution can record sales of approximately KRW 200-300 billion for a contract to construct both the internal and external submarine cable networks for a 400-500 MW offshore wind farm.
“The offshore wind power market is now fully opening up, offering a critical opportunity for infrastructure companies,” said an official of LS Marine Solution. “We will proactively expand our presence and achieve solid results in both growth and performance.”
