      ■ Launched as LG-VINA shortly after establishment of Korea-Vietnam diplomatic relations, and seen as highly successful overseas expansion case
      ■ Vietnam's largest cable export company, with exports to ASEAN, Europe, and North America
      ■ Expanding orders for extra-high voltage and AI data center power grids, with goal of $1 billion in revenue by 2030

LS Eco Energy (CEO Lee Sang-ho) announced that its Vietnamese production subsidiary, LS-VINA, held a 30th-anniversary ceremony at its Haiphong site in Vietnam on the 1st to share its growth journey and future vision.

Seen as the most successful case of a domestic cable company expanding into an overseas market, LS-VINA is now the No. 1 cable company in the ASEAN region. Originally named LG-VINA, it is one of the first generation of enterprises launched after Korea and Vietnam established diplomatic relations. Since then, it has grown alongside the local power infrastructure as the country has opened its economy and industrialized, with revenue expanding from approximately KRW 6 billion in 1996 to KRW 1 trillion today.

LS-VINA is the only company capable of directly producing and supplying extra-high voltage (EHV) cables in Vietnam and is a core supplier to Vietnam Electricity (EVN). It has an overwhelming 80% share of the local cable market, with a particular concentration in the EHV sector.

The Haiphong production base manufactures high-, medium- and low-voltage cables, and overhead lines, which have played a pivotal role in the construction of Vietnam's power grid. Originally focused on the domestic market, it has now grown into Vietnam's largest cable export company, with exports to ASEAN, Europe, and North America.

The company has been setting new sales records annually in recent years by winning power grid projects in major countries such as Europe, Singapore, and Australia, as well as power grid projects for AI data centers in Southeast Asia. LS-VINA hopes to continue this trend and achieve $1 billion in revenue by 2030.

During his congratulatory speech, Koo Bon-kyu, CEO of LS Cable & System, said, "I deeply appreciate the efforts of our local employees, who started from nothing and turned the impossible into the possible." He added, "The next 30 years will provide a new opportunity for LS-VINA to leap forward as a global top-tier power infrastructure company, and we will spare no support."
