LS Cable & System achieved its highest-ever performance in 2025, driven by expanding investments in global power grids and a growing order backlog.
On March 30, LS Cable & System announced that it recorded consolidated sales of KRW 7.5882 trillion and an operating profit of KRW 279.8 billion in 2025. This growth was propelled by expanding demand centered on extra-high-voltage and submarine cables, alongside improved performance from subsidiaries such as LS Eco Energy.
These figures represent a 12.2% and 1.9% increase, respectively, compared to sales of KRW 6.7653 trillion and operating profit of KRW 274.5 billion in 2024, breaking records for both.
Notably, as of the end of December 2025, the order backlog had increased by approximately 22% to KRW 7.63 trillion, the largest to date. According to the company, this has further stabilized its mid-to-long-term growth.
LS Cable & System's subsidiaries also showed a steep upward trajectory for the year. LS Eco Energy posted sales of KRW 960.1 billion and an operating profit of KRW 66.8 billion, representing year-on-year increases of 10.5% and 49.2%, respectively. This was its highest performance on record, and comes alongside double-digit growth for two consecutive years.
Reportedly, this high-growth structure was further reinforced by the expansion of cross-selling with LS Cable & System in Europe and North America and the increasing demand for power infrastructure for ASEAN AI data centers.
LS Marine Solution achieved its highest-ever performance, posting sales of KRW 244.2 billion, an 87.4% surge from the previous year's KRW 130.3 billion. This was largely driven by an increase in submarine cable installations for offshore wind farms.
An official from LS Cable & System stated, "As a global top-tier company, we are maintaining our competitiveness in large-scale power grid projects," and added, "With the growing importance of energy security in recent years, our experience in executing massive infrastructure projects has become even more valuable, so we’re confident we will achieve our sales target of KRW 10 trillion by 2030."
LS Cable & System is also actively expanding its investments in global production and supply chains. The company is currently constructing a submarine cable plant in the US and a busduct plant in Mexico, and it is pursuing a partnership with Australia's Lynas, the sole supplier of rare earth raw materials outside of China.
Industry observers expect that LS Cable & System will secure a stable order pipeline fueled by the global demand for power grids and AI data center power infrastructure, and continue its growth momentum through strategic cooperation with its subsidiaries.
