LS Cable & System announced on the 14th that it has launched Korea's first high-flex industrial USB cable that can withstand repetitive movements.

The new product features high-speed data transmission capabilities and is highly durable, operating without breakage or performance degradation even after being repeatedly bent over one million times. The new product has a lifespan that is about three times longer than existing imported products from Germany, Taiwan, etc., which break after 300,000 to 400,000 bends. 

This is a meaningful achievement in terms of localization and technological competitiveness, as demand for cables for process equipment requiring highly reliable communications is increasing with the rapid pace of industrial automation.

This product is expected to be widely used in automated facilities such as semiconductor, display, and secondary battery production lines, as well as for equipment that requires many repetitive movements such as IP cameras, CCTV, and IoT equipment.

It has received international certification from the Korea Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) and has been recognized for its quality reliability by meeting international standards in over 10 categories, including durability, connectivity, insulation and contact resistance, shock, and vibration.

The cable was jointly developed through a collaboration between LS Cable & System and Kangwon Electronics. LS Cable & System was in charge of cable design and production, and Kangwon Electronics improved the practicality and completeness of the product by reflecting customer feedback and market demand.
