■ Securing safety certifications for communication cables used in data centers and smart buildings
■ Expanding communication and power product lineups for North America to increase supply to existing customer network
■ Increasing proportion of high-value-added products, including optical cables
LS Eco Energy is strengthening its efforts to target the AI data center infrastructure market by expanding its lineup of US UL-certified products.
LS Eco Energy (CEO Lee Sang-ho) announced on the 21st that LSCV, its Vietnamese production subsidiary, has obtained US UL fire safety certification for its communication cables.
These signal transmission cables are used in access control, CCTV, and alarm systems in AI data centers and smart buildings. Demand for related infrastructure is growing in North America with the expansion of smart buildings and increasing security needs.
UL certification is the representative safety certification system for the electrical, electronics, and building materials sectors in the US, and is considered a core standard for entering the North American market. In US data centers and commercial buildings, communication and power cables are often installed together in internal wiring, so they require stringent flame retardancy and safety standards.
LS Eco Energy previously secured UL certification for its power cables, and is now broadening its overall product portfolio for power and communication infrastructure in the North American market. The company also plans to accelerate the diversification of its communication product lineup by ramping up production of optical cables.
LSCV is already supplying UTP data transmission cables to data centers in North America, so it expects to enter the market quickly and see prompt revenue growth based on its existing customer network.
LS Eco Energy has recently supplied power cables and busducts for large-scale AI data center projects promoted by global big tech companies in Malaysia and Vietnam, and is actively targeting related markets.
"We will continue to increase the proportion of high-value-added products," said Lee Sang-ho, CEO of LS Eco Energy. "With this certification as a stepping stone, we will diversify our communication product portfolio for data centers to accelerate our entry into the US infrastructure market."
