      ■ Supplying busducts to dozens of North American AI data centers annually
      ■ Strengthening global supply system encompassing Gaon Cable, LS Cable & System, and LS Eco Energy

Gaon Cable will supply KRW 4 trillion worth of busducts to a US big tech AI data center, the largest supply contract ever recorded in the domestic cable and power equipment industry.

Gaon Cable (CEO Jeong Hyun) announced on the 18th that its US subsidiary, LSCUS, has signed a five-year, long-term contract to supply busducts, a high-capacity power system, to US Company A.

Under this contract, the company will supply busducts to dozens of AI data centers across the US annually, with an initial supply worth approximately KRW 50 billion this year, and the cumulative supply volume projected to top KRW 4 trillion by 2030.

As a long-term framework agreement rather than a one-off order, the deal is highly significant. The company says revenue could further expand with the continued proliferation of AI data centers.

"This achievement is the result of combining LS Cable & System's global sales capabilities with the local responsiveness of Gaon Cable's US subsidiary," said Byeon Jeong-il, head of the Busduct Business Division at LS Cable & System. "Following a large-scale contract with big tech Company B last year, securing this additional order has allowed us to rapidly expand our supply to US AI data centers."

Alongside Gaon Cable and LS Eco Energy, LS Cable & System is strengthening its global supply system connecting Korea, North America, and Vietnam. The contracted volume will initially be supplied from LS Cable & System's Indong plant in Gumi, Gyeongsangbuk-do, while Gaon Cable is considering constructing new busduct production facilities at its Jeonju plant.

Scheduled for completion in 2026, LS Cable & System's Mexican production subsidiary will also serve as a core production base. In January, the company announced a plan to expand its investment in Mexico to a total of KRW 230 billion, a strategy aimed at enhancing supply stability and delivery competitiveness by establishing a local production system in North America.

LS Eco Energy is also expanding its presence in the AI data center market. It has recently secured consecutive busduct and cable supply contracts for large-scale data centers in Malaysia and Vietnam, and is ramping up its production of optical communication cables.
