      ■ First-half revenue and operating profit reach record highs, with operating profit surging 41.8%
      ■ Export growth driven by expanding investments in US AI data centers and power grids
      ■ US subsidiary leaps forward as top-five global busduct supplier, expects revenue to double

Gaon Cable (CEO Jeong Hyun) achieved its best-ever first-half results in 2026, buoyed by the growing US power infrastructure market and expanding exports.

The company announced on the 20th that it recorded provisional consolidated revenue of KRW 1.633 trillion and an operating profit of KRW 64 billion for the first half of this year.

These figures represent increases of 27.3% and 41.8%, respectively, compared to the same period last year, and mark all-time highs for both revenue and operating profit on a half-year basis. With operating profit growing significantly faster than revenue, the company is fast-tracking measures to improve profitability by transitioning to a business structure centered on high-value-added products.

This performance was driven by an increasing demand for cables and busducts following expanding investments in AI data centers, power grids and renewable energy in the US. In particular, Gaon Cable's exports of power distribution cables are steadily increasing due to supply shortages in the US.

Gaon Cable’s US production subsidiary, LSCUS, is also continuing to grow, with cable orders from AI data centers and solar power complexes increasing. The company is on track to nearly double its revenue compared to last year, and has cemented its position as a top-five global busduct supplier by supplying busducts to US big tech AI data centers in cooperation with LS Cable & System.

Gaon Cable plans to continue expanding its exports of high-value-added products to the US, while strengthening its customer responsiveness and supply competitiveness by drawing on its local production base.

"The structural growth of the US power infrastructure market is continuing, centered on investments in AI data centers and power grids," said Jeong Hyun, CEO of Gaon Cable. "Drawing on the expanding exports of our headquarters and the growth of LSCUS, we'll continue to drive revenue growth and improve profitability in the second half of the year as well."
