■ Largest scale for single building, with deliveries planned throughout 2027  
■ Customer base expanded from big tech and generative AI companies to AI cloud providers
■ In talks for additional projects 2-3x the current contract size, fueling expansion into the US AI data center market


Gaon Cable (CEO Jeong Hyun) has signed a large-scale busduct supply contract with a US AI cloud provider as it ramps up business in the North American AI data center market. 

The company announced on the 20th that its US subsidiary, LSCUS, will supply KRW 200 billion worth of busducts to an AI cloud data center project in the US, with deliveries scheduled throughout 2027. 

AI cloud data centers provide AI computing services through large-scale GPU computing servers. With the recent surge in demand for AI computing, AI cloud providers have been rapidly increasing their investments in data centers. 

With this contract, LSCUS has now added AI cloud providers to its existing customer base of global big tech and generative AI companies. 

The company is also in discussions for additional projects that are two to three times larger, raising expectations that supply volume will continue to expand in the future. 

The current project includes a 250 MW-class AI data center, the largest single building among all the data centers that LSCUS has supplied to date. Recently, AI data centers have been increasing in size, with some massive campuses requiring hundreds of megawatts of power, and demand for power distribution infrastructure is growing apace. 

With LSCUS continuing to win new and bigger orders, LS Cable & System is expanding its busduct production capacity. With the expansion of its Gumi plant and the construction of its Mexican production subsidiary slated for completion by the end of this year, production capacity is on track to approximately triple.
