■ Supplying MV cables to US solar farms, with US exports on track to grow over 20% YoY

LS Eco Energy (CEO Lee Sang-ho) is rapidly gaining ground in the North American power distribution market by expanding its cooperation with Gaon Cable's US subsidiary. 

The company announced on the 15th that it recently supplied medium-voltage (MV) underground cables to US solar farms. Gaon Cable's US subsidiary, LSCUS, signed the contract with the customer, while LS Eco Energy's Vietnamese production subsidiary, LS-VINA, manufactured the products. 

These cables are used to collect the power generated at solar farms and transmit it to substations. As investments in AI data centers and renewable power facilities expand in the US, demand for power distribution infrastructure to connect them is growing apace. 

"With demand for MV cables surging in the US, LSCUS has more than doubled its local production capacity," said a company spokesperson. "To respond to this rapid growth in demand, we are also utilizing LS-VINA's production capacity." 

Through its cooperation with Gaon Cable, LS Eco Energy plans to continuously increase its supply of power distribution cables to the new US power infrastructure market, including solar farms. 

LS-VINA's MV cable exports to the US are on track to increase by more than 20% compared to last year, and the company is pushing to enter the local extra-high-voltage market as well. It already has a track record of supplying extra-high-voltage cables in Europe and Singapore, and recently secured US certification for 230 kV cables.
