      ■ To begin mass production in second half of 2027, doubling overall busduct production capacity
      ■ LS Cable & System strengthening production systems in Korea, Vietnam, and Mexico to respond to AIDC demand

LS Eco Energy (CEO Lee Sang-ho) is ramping up its power infrastructure business by investing in large-capacity busducts for AI data centers (AIDCs).

The company announced on the 7th that LSCV, its production subsidiary in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, is investing approximately KRW 8 billion in new production facilities for epoxy insulation busducts.

Epoxy busducts are high-value-added products that require high insulation and durability, making them ideal for large-capacity power supply. Mass production is slated for the second half of 2027, and the addition of epoxy insulation to the company’s existing film insulation lineup will double its overall busduct production capacity.

LSCV is expanding its product lineup to respond to the diverse requirements of AIDC customers and strengthen its order competitiveness, with a focus on the Asian region.

LS Cable & System is strengthening its AIDC busduct business to encompass the Americas and Asia. The company is currently utilizing Gaon Cable's US subsidiary, LSCUS, as its North American business hub while simultaneously building a production subsidiary in Mexico and expanding production capacity at both its Gumi plant in North Gyeongsang Province and LSCV.

Investments in Southeast Asian data centers by global big tech companies are kicking into high gear. Microsoft and Google have announced investments in Malaysia of USD 2.2 billion and USD 2 billion, respectively, to expand their AI and cloud infrastructure. Demand for the power infrastructure required for these data centers is expected to grow apace.

LSCV built its busduct production facilities in 2018, and has since expanded its business with a focus on industrial plants and high-rise buildings. Recently, the company broadened its supply base to include hyperscale data centers for global big tech companies in Indonesia and Malaysia, leading busduct revenue to more than triple YoY in the first half of this year.

"Through this investment, we will simultaneously strengthen our product competitiveness and production capacity, and gain further ground in the Asian AI power infrastructure market," said Lee Sang-ho, CEO of LS Eco Energy.
